Sabra Hanson

I have been a competitive athlete since a very early age, loving the endorphin rush and the thrill of competition. I completed the Iron Man in Lake Placid in 1999, the Galveston Half Iron Man in 2012 and the Iron Man in Louisville, Kentucky also in 2012 and was a competitive swimmer in Canada. After enduring many unresolved injuries throughout my body I turned to yoga. Through yoga I found a new edge and understanding, free from injuries. Peace with strength, flexibility and endurance were what then evolved for me. I tell follow athletes and students to listen to their own bodies and that they hold the master key to their possibilities. Various teachers have influenced me in the practice of yoga including Baron Baptiste and Dave and Cheryl Oliver. Still learning I hope to continue to help others to realize their potential.



Sabra Hanson instructs the following:
  • Rockin Yogis
  • Practice in this open-level vinyasa flow with optional inversions set to upbeat, current music. This rockin class turns up the heat through an energetic vinyasa practice where you will develop flexibility, balance, strength, and endurance. You will be challenged by traditional and creative sequences with modifications offered throughout the class if you are newer to the practice or simply want to take it down a notch. Be ready to sweat as you link your breath to the flow. This Rockin flow is appropriate for all who are physically fit; Previous yoga experience recommended. (65 min; Intensity Level 1/2, Room is Heated)

  • Deep Stretch & Mindful Meditation
  • This yoga experience focuses on deep stretches (Yin tradition) and increasing flexibility. Curious about the benefits of meditation? This class also incorporates mindful guided meditation techniques in a non-intimidating way to release stress, sharpen focus, and enable total relaxation. After incorporating this practice into your yoga routine, you will no doubt see improvements, body and mind. Great for athletes, on-the-go yogis and anyone looking for a quiet, calm space to practice and do a little soul searching.  (1 hour; Intensity Level 1)
